Introducing Sophie Beckerman: New Team Member

We are thrilled to welcome Sophie Beckerman, our newest member of staff, to our dedicated team of tree experts. With over 10 years of experience as a climbing arborist and team leader, Sophie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to our team, as she embarks on this new phase of her career with AWA Tree Consultants.

Sophie’s passion for arboriculture led her to pursue a Level 4 Diploma in arboriculture while working as an arborist.  Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to professional development, continuously expanding her understanding of tree care and management practices. Her education and experience have equipped her with an exceptional skill set that she now puts to use as an arboricultural consultant, specializing in tree surveys for planning applications and tree risk management with the support of the wider team.

As a climbing arborist and team leader, as well as undertaking tree management with Sheffield City Council Ranger Service and The Wildlife Trust, Sophie has faced numerous challenging situations that have honed her skills in tree care, maintenance, and health and safety. Her role as a team leader involved coordinating and supervising complex projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables while prioritizing the safety of her team and the public – ensuring that work is carried out safely and efficiently and that health and safety standards are adhered to, and risk assessments are carried out.

Sophie’s passion for trees her comprehensive knowledge of arboriculture combined with her practical experience makes her well-equipped to provide expert advice and recommendations to our clients at AWA Tree Consultants. As an arboricultural consultant, under the support of the wider team, Sophie will be undertaking tree surveys, offering professional assessments of tree health, structural integrity, and risk management. Her meticulous approach and attention to detail ensure that her evaluations are accurate and thorough, enabling our clients to make informed decisions regarding tree management and maintenance.
