Welcoming Ross: Our Newest Arboriculturist

AWA is thrilled to introduce Ross, our new Arboriculturist, who brings over 10 years of diverse arboricultural experience to the team.

With a background encompassing horticultural, arboricultural, and ecological work, Ross has worked across the UK, conducting tree surveys and has worked on a wide range of projects, both small and large scale.

Ross holds a technician level membership with the Arboricultural Association and a qualifying membership with CIEEM, underscoring his commitment to professional excellence. Academic qualifications include a first class degree in environmental conservation and an arboricultural diploma completed to distinction grade.

His previous role as a tree inspector for Derbyshire County Council allowed him to hone his tree risk assessment skills further, managing the county tree stock and the response to major tree related issues including ash dieback disease.

Ross’s other recent endeavours include large national infrastructure projects, where he provided invaluable expertise in ecological supervision, guided work schemes, and conducted comprehensive surveys in regard to protected species.

Ross has a range of experience in practical arboricultural and conservation work, which is how he started his career. Further work experience includes working at ecological and arboricultural consultant where he undertook tree related subsidence surveys, tree inventory surveys and planning and development surveys.

Let’s extend a warm welcome to Ross as he joins our team, we’re confident his expertise and dedication will contribute significantly to our projects and collective success.
