From Words on a Wall to a Culture We Live: Our Mission, Vision, and Values

At AWA Tree Consultants, we’ve always believed that company culture isn’t just something you can frame and put on a wall. It’s the energy, attitudes, and sense of purpose that our team brings to work every day. There’s a saying that resonates with us: “Your company culture is not words on your website or a poster on your wall. It’s how your team feel on a Sunday night.”

We’ve always been more focused on the lived experience of our team and clients than just putting words to paper. But we also recognise that sometimes it’s important to articulate those values—to make them visible not just to the outside world but to ourselves. And that’s why we took the time this year to put our Mission, Vision, and Values into words and onto posters.

Our friends at Forge Creative have done an incredible job in helping us bring these concepts to life in a visually striking way.

Our Mission: Helping People and Trees Flourish

Our mission is simple yet powerful: Helping people and trees flourish, through expert advice. Every project we take on is rooted in our desire to contribute positively to both the natural world and the communities we serve. Trees are a critical part of healthy, vibrant environments, and we see our role as one of fostering a harmonious connection between people and nature.

Our Vision: Leading with Integrity and Reliability

Our vision is to be recognized as a leading arboricultural consultancy, known for integrity, reliability, and our commitment to creating thriving green communities. We don’t just want to do good work—we want to set the standard for what arboriculture can achieve. That means constantly improving our knowledge, working with transparency, and delivering on our promises.

Our Values: The Core of AWA Tree Consultants

At AWA Tree Consultants, we are committed to four core values:

  • Expertise: Focused on delivering high-quality, accurate tree advice based on extensive knowledge and qualifications.
  • Reliability: Consistently providing trustworthy and dependable services.
  • Integrity: Upholding transparency and honesty in all our interactions.
  • Support: Adapting to the needs of our clients and each other, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

We take these values to heart, not just as aspirational ideals but as the foundation of how we conduct business every day. They guide our interactions with clients, inform our decision-making, and shape the way we support one another as a team.

More Than Words

At the end of the day, our culture is what sets us apart. We are proud of the posters, but they aren’t just words we look at—they’re reminders of the purpose and passion that have always driven us. Forge Creative did a brilliant job of capturing the essence of AWA in these designs, but it’s up to all of us to ensure that the meaning behind these words is felt in every action we take.

We believe that the best cultures are those where the mission and values aren’t necessarily talked about but are experienced by everyone involved. That’s the kind of place AWA Tree Consultants strives to be, and we’re excited to continue growing in that direction—helping both trees and people flourish.
